December 18th, 2008

Hi everyone. As we close on another year, from all of us in Crimsonfire, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!

It's been a while since our last update and there has been some recent changes... After 9 years of being with the band, Crimsonfire has had to let go of Bass Player Paul Yoannidis due to personal reasons. As some of you already know, it has been an extremely difficult process in finding a new Bass Player, but after 4 months and numerous Bass auditions, we finally found our man! So on behalf of Crimsonfire, we would like to welcome Damian Brede into the band. OMAD, as he likes to be called, has been playing Bass for over 13 years, has played in numerous local bands and most definitely has the experience and capabilities. We're currently working closely with OMAD to get him up to speed with the new tracks and we're completing 3 more new songs to add to our eagerly anticipated 2nd Album. Having completed Pre-Production tracks for Album No.2, we are well on our way to booking official Recording dates for the entire Album in early 2009 with plans to have both local and international guest musicians.

It has been a fresh new start for us, and with this comes a fresh new look, so check out our new band photos on our photo gallery page and get ready guys coz it won't be too long before Crimsonfire will be back burning up the stage again!!!

Hello to everyone in the world of Metal, glad to be back.

I guess you are probably wondering, why we haven't shown our faces for the last... well, lets see... oh, eight months...

Here are ten good reasons why:

1. Embrace The Night
2. Last Horizon
3. The Reason Remains
4. Winter Storm
5. Secrets
6. Silent Rain
7. Oceans Collide
8. Seasons of The Sun
9. Lies Within
10. Echoes Through Eternity

In no particular order, and titles subject to change, we present to you the official track listing for Crimsonfire's second album.

It's been an extremely busy year for us all to date, professionally and personally.

We are currently finalising and drawing conclusion to our writing sessions, and we will shortly commence our pre production recording sessions.  Official recording sessions will follow shortly after that.

...but in the meantime, some other exciting news...

Special announcement:

'A very impressive album'
Bruce Dickinson, IRON MAIDEN.

That's right, you read it correctly...

Our debut album, into the hands of Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, one of the greatest voices in metal, that's cool!

As you may or may not know, but between his solo / Maiden and pilot commitments, Bruce Dickinson hosts his own weekly Friday night rock show in London.

Featuring bands from all over the world, Bruce plays an array of new and classic rock/Metal tunes, including interviews with your favourite Rock/Metal artists.

On the 10th August 2007, Bruce Dickinson introduced Crimsonfire, to his listeners, on the Friday night rock show, by playing the opening track of their debut album 'ETERNAL DAYS' and dubbing their debut album - very impressive.

Unfortunately due to copyright laws, we are unable to provide a sample of the recording of the show, but you may view the shows track listing for that day on this link.

'To be acknowledged by greatness is one thing, but to be acknowledged by having an impressive album, is an honour.
This is definitely one of the greatest moments in our music careers'

Louie.

Crimsonfire greatly thanks Kathryn and all at Smooth operations, for giving us the opportunity to be on the Friday night Rock Show, and a big thank you to Bruce Dickinson for the kind words, introducing the band, playing our song and appreciating our album, it will be treasured and immortalized in our hearts forever, thank you.

NOTE: For Australian fans to listen live, tune in on Saturdays 7:00am-10:00am EST

We have a new review online for you, and here is a statement from the band:

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As we await the New Year, we draw closer towards the end of what has been a successful year and a very interesting journey for CRIMSONFIRE.

It began with our newly released debut album being recognised within Australia and around the world by the magazines, fanzines and radio stations - giving the album excellent reviews that we had hoped we would achieve.

This would also bring a world wide interest in CRIMSONFIRE, gaining fans from all around the world, earning the band respect and its place in the metal world - 2006 had proven that CRIMSONFIRE are in for the long haul, and a band that is here to stay.

This was followed by countless interviews both within Australia and overseas, working with and supporting local communities, being involved in underage festivals,

Working alongside local and international metal bands.

2006 gave us the opportunity to officially launch our debut album to our home crowd in Melbourne which was one of the biggest highlights of the year for us - not to mention being chosen to support international metal sensations QUEENSRYCHE.

The year to date has been fantastic and has exceeded all our expectations, we feel very fortunate of our achievements and wouldn't have done it without the following:

We wish to thank everyone for making 2006 an unforgettable year and the above possible, starting with all our families and loved ones, all the international/local press, magazines, fanzines, newspapers, journalists, radio stations, DJ's, venues, all local and international bands we shared the stage with, basically everyone who has helped us along the way to get to where we are now - especially the fans who have believed in our dream, we thank you...

The last few months we have been brainstorming ideas and have ended the year with brand new tracks for a 2 nd album, we plan to re group early 2007 to complete our writing sessions - as we plan to begin recording sometime mid 2007.

2006 was a big year - we hope to make 2007 even bigger!

Cheers, and have a safe new year.

LOUIE, DOM, ANTH, DI & PAULY.

"We are proud to release and inform to our loyal fans and listeners of the metal community that CRIMSONFIRE have signed and secured a deal with Majestic Rock Records. Backed by A&R Director Geoff Gillespie, we are glad to have on board a person who will celebrate the same vision as we do for many years to come. Yes, the international doors are finally about to open for us. From our endless late nights in our humble rehearsal room to the inspiring (and very memorable) sessions with Endel in the studio and Darren our art-wizard, our efforts are about to pay off with this exciting opportunity. Although negotiations are still in progress for the album's release in Australia, we are proud to announce that the album, Crimsonfire is due for release in Europe on October 10th and Japan on October 26th.

We'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who has believed in the band and supported us along the way. So Let's Rock!

July 6, 2005

A BIG thankyou to all of you who came down to the Central Club to support us and Screamers on June 24th! It was another great turnout and a HUGE night with performances from Enter Twilight and Chaos Theory. We kicked the night off with "The Rising Sands" followed by some of our faster-paced numbers, all off our upcoming album "Crimsonfire." Though we also thought we'd bring a small element of suprise to the night, covering a classic Metal favourite from Iron Maiden: "2 Minutes to Midnight" :-)

Our t-shirts (see below) debuted on the night too (many thanks to the girls for taking care of our merch stand) If you missed out on a shirt, just drop us an email (info@crimsonfire.com.au) as our online store isn't available just yet.

As always, the gig would not have been possible without the help of Mick, for keeping Screamers nights alive, Ben for mixing an incredible kick-ass sound (you rock!) Darren (protakore.com) for a fantastic job on the lights, fans, family and friends - Cheers guys!

Also, our online store is coming soon! It won't be long now!

It's been a little while since our last update, and WOW what a few months it has been! Our last gig at The Central Club back on the 28th of January was a "SCREAMING" success. Organised and promoted by Mick Simpson, friends, fans and fellow musicians experienced the opening night of Screamers. Melbourne's newest arrival of the latest and greatest
Metal Club. Along with us the night consisted of two other great Metal bands, Anarion and Chaos Theory all contributing to a successful night and a great turn out of people.

December 10, 2004

No doubt you've probably now heard the tragic news that ex Pantera guitarist, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, was shot dead whilst onstage with his band Damageplan in Ohio on Wednesday night. A gunman stormed the stage during the first song and shot and killed
Abbott and 4 other people. The gunman himself was shot by police but unfortunately it was too late.

Crimsonfire would like to pay their respects to Dimebag and the audience members who died. This is a most appalling and disgusting act of senseless violence which has robbed the music world of another talented human being.

Sad news folks, Metal at Breakers is no more. In fact Breakers itself is no more. The owner has sold the business and what this means for Crimsonfire is that the gig on the 25th of June, 2004 is cancelled. This is a blow for the Melbourne Metal scene as for quite some time now, Breakers has been the home of Metal and a great place for Metal Heads to hang out.
